Gary Cangemi Graphic Art Studio has announced the formation of its own media syndicate. Friendly City Features, based in Scranton Pennsylvania, will market daily comics and other features to both mainstream and specialized newspapers, magazines, web sites and other media. Its first offering will be A Womb With A View, a new daily version of Umbert the Unborn which will be written and marketed to mainstream daily newspapers.
New Syndicate Launched!
"The strip will feature the same loveable characters and the same life-affirming perspective," stated Cangemi, "but the rhetorical style will be modified to make the strip more appealing to editors and readers of of mainstream daily papers. Umbert will still deal with tough culture of life issues, but there will be a greater variety of maternity humor and other funny characters and storylines typical of the daily funnies."
"Just by being themselves, Umbert and the other characters are already sending out a strong pro-life message. A Womb With A View will be a way of reaching a larger audience with this positive message."

Umbert the Unborn will continue to be published in non-daily, faith-based and pro-life publications. The target date for A Womb With A View is June 1, 2008. Readers interested in seeing Umbert in their daily papers should contact their local editors and ask for A Womb With A View, available atwww.friendlycityfeatures.com. Anyone interested in joining the Friendly City Features sales team should check out the FCF website for details.
